Finished!!!!!!!!!!!

I am really happy because a) I finished it.
b) I learnt a lot about my "style" than before and I can truly say this exercise improved me so much. Then again with the skill of the other artists in the game I am simply humbled.
c) really happy. Just happy cuz I'm happy.

the WIP idea, though I don'T normally do it, is actually really good. cuz even I can see how I go along. which is kinda weird. I NEVER see how I work o.O

the point of this pic is to show my style and help me improve so please comment ^^

the structure of the face needs some work, but i think you are REALLY coming along with the shading

the was you shaded her face makes it look very defined and striking

ooo it's really accurate to the photo :D
my small critic is that the shading on her chest is a little too messy in comparison to the shading on her face.

ahaha. yes. I drew them two in diferent spirits. For the face and the skin elsewhere... it was a completely different feeling and also cuz I was trying to work out my actual "style" XD or maybe I just suck at skin full stop. but thanks ^^ next time I'll harmonise the pic more. and I'm an utter portraiture fan and we all know what that means... I don'T pay much attention to stuff that isn'T face.

XD me and ~In-The-Distance were talking once in art class and I asked her, "Do I look like someone who is subtle?" She took a look at my KILLED (until teacher helped) self-portrait in extreme black-and-white (I put way too much black. there was almost no shading. just black areas of shade and white for the rest -- my fave) exposure and said, "No, I don't think so."

and i wanted to make her face... my way... so yes, I think I succeeded in that even if my overall skill was somewhat lacking. I'm happy with it.

thanks! (THE FACE!!!! oh, you have NO idea....) I guess I'm alright... I'm not dying and I'm still sarcastic, maybe-evil, somewhat loony, japan-loving me.

(BTW!!! you don't care about this but I have brainwashed my host student and now SIX!!! YES, SIX!!! pictures of japanese males are ON THE WALL!!! perhaps to be drawn soon. look out!)

I think it maybe helps to make art look more interesting ;] which it did in this case
